www.selfleadership.org. Internal Family Systems Therapy, developed by Richard Schwartz. IFS is a psycho-spiritual method of psychotherapy that forms the backdrop to my entire approach. It is empowering and completely non-pathologizing.

www.emofree.com. Emotional Freedom Technique, developed by Gary Craig. EFT is a remarkable technique that involves the acupuncture meridians of the body. I use it often to facilitate emotional release, as it is quick, simple, and extremely flexible. It is quintessential mind/body therapy.

www.thejourney.com. The Journey, developed by Brandon Bays is another beautiful mind/body modality. It stems from Brandon Bays' own experience of healing a large tumor without medical intervention, using both physical cleansing and emotional release.

www.emdr.com. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), developed by Francine Shapiro. EMDR is very thoroughly researched, demonstrating the effectiveness of using an alternative technique to clear emotional trauma.

Training in SE helped me really understand how trauma gets stuck in the mind/body and taught me yet another effective method of releasing it. In actual practice, I frequently blend elements of several or all of the energy techniques I have learned.

Jon Kabat-Zinn, author of Wherever You Go, There You Are, and Full Catastrophic Living: Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress, Pain, and Illness, founded The Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

www.eckharttolle.com. Spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle is another master at teaching mindful presence. In his book The Power of Now he gives a method of accessing what he calls the "inner body."

www.brucelipton.com. Scientist Bruce Lipton wrote The Biology of Belief, about the mind/body connection.

Why I Survive AIDS. In this remarkable autobiographical book, Niro Markoff Asistent describes how she completely healed from AIDS before the advent of AIDS medications using a mind/body/spirit approach plus a healthy lifestyle. www.Ener-Chi.com. Andreas Moritz has written books that outline natural approaches to eliminating what he sees as the causes of medical issues, as opposed to suppressing symptoms. His books detail methods of incorporating body cleansing and healthy lifestyle into one's healing plan in a safe and effective way. Moritz also addresses the mind/body/spirit connection.
